What consequence should he face? That 25% of people are mad at him? Ok. Fine.

Let's cancel that player. That will show everyone.

RIght. And to me Patel looks like a fucking fool here. That's different than getting all over the US Men's Hockey players.

I saw a dipshit guy (Trump) say something dumb. That's what he does. I saw dudes laugh awkwardly at a dumb ass attempt for a joke. Nothing more, nothing less.

24.02.2026 19:37 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

He isn't the first and won't be the last self-important person to crash a victory locker room like this. It's goofy and dumb but it happens and always has.

24.02.2026 19:36 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

100%. We will never learn. We are making this a way bigger deal than it is and are falling into the trap of "crazy, snowflake liberals being offended by any and everything." Let's stop doing that, please.

24.02.2026 19:35 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

What "consequences?" That 25% of the far left are mad at them?

24.02.2026 19:34 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

My mother is a Democrat. Votes that way. She doesn't understand why some poeple are so mad about this. Does that make her a woman-hating right-wing nut job?

I don't think the outward optics are rough, honestly. To online liberals? Yes. To people who aren't? It's a nothing burger.

24.02.2026 19:29 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Please explain how - in the heat of that moment players are supposed to be so engaged in politics that they are going to worry about any of that shit? Let's talk about in the moment and not about how we would respond from our keyboard.

24.02.2026 19:28 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Yes. Patel being there is stupid. He's a moron who thinks people give two shits. But it would also be weird to tell him to get the hell out.

24.02.2026 19:27 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

He wasn't "talking shit" about them. Come on. What did you want Jack Hughes to do in that situation? Please live in the real world.

24.02.2026 19:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

No kidding. These players are not thinking about politics or optics in that moment. God damn. Do people live in the real world at all? I hate Trump. I hate Kash Patel. But Good Grief this is being overblown. It’s why rational people get turned away from people being offended all the time.

24.02.2026 19:04 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think a lot different than you think they are.

24.02.2026 19:01 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

So they were all supposed to stop what they were doing in the middle of celebrating winning the first US Gold Medal in 46 years just because Kash Patel came in the locker room? That’s ridiculous. It could have been Barack Obama and they would have acted the same way.

24.02.2026 18:28 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 1

Sure. It’s weird. More on Patel’s part. The players were celebrating amongst themselves and he came in. Hangers on types come into those celebrations all the time. It’s not that unique. I doubt the players gave two shits one way or another.

24.02.2026 18:26 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

They didn’t β€œinvite politics in”. It was a wild scene. They just won the fucking Gold Medal and were all jazzed up. They aren’t going to sit there and contemplate how this might look. It’s a go with the flow moment. Not everyone is chronically politically engaged and thinking about that 24/7.

24.02.2026 18:22 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 3    πŸ“Œ 0

Jack Hughes was close to a lot of the women’s players. That has been well documented. We don’t have to be outraged by everything.

That's kind of what the story is saying.

This is a really smart move by Bloom, IMO. Provides so much protection all over the infield. He also isn't a zero offensively either.

Maybe I had expectations for something different but I didn’t love this one.

I like when you post this stuff but a lot of the time I have no idea what you are referencing :)

No more standing pat: Bloom turns Cardinals 40-man into a moving target Conservative roster managemant under Mo have given way to volativity that is becoming the baseball standard.

Over the full 2025 season, the Cardinals moved one (1) player off the 40-man through waivers without specifically needing the spot. Conservative roster management was a calling card of the prior front office, and it's been one of the first things out the door:

He's a nice little player but Cardinal Nation treat him like Ryne Sandberg.

Maybe it's because of the departures of Arenado and Donovan - but I get the sense this FO likes Jose Fermin more than the previous one.
