Finally found #glutenfree gochujang (Korean red pepper paste) and tteok (Korean rice cakes) without wheat starch so I could make tteokbokki at home! I added carrots, shiitake mushrooms, greens, and fried tofu to make it into a meal.

Week 2 with our foster Blake (middle)! She’s a bit jealous of Arthur & Dixie at times, but is doing incredibly well with her potty training & learning to behave around the house!

Our new foster dog, Blake (she/her)! She came up here all the way from Texas after being found abandoned by a canal with her three siblings, one of which unfortunately passed.

After a case of parvo, Blake and her sister Blair came up to Oregon to be fostered while their brother, Bass, was adopted!

🐕 RESCUED! We just saved nearly 70 dogs who were suffering on a South Korean dog meat farm. Because of YOU, our amazing supporters, we were able to rescue these dogs and give them new lives!

First gluten free sourdough starter is a success! Tested the discard in pancakes and they turned out really well!

This Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Heritage Month, I want to uplift the extraordinary accomplishments of AANHPI Americans. From activists to artists, they have made invaluable contributions to our nation’s history.

A few weeks ago I attended Animal Care Expo in behalf of our food service team at Humane World. Though not everyone at the conference was #vegan, all the food was 100% plant based!

The best part: Everyone loved the food! Many people said they didn’t notice until later that it was all vegan.

This is NYT’s Eric Kim’s recipe for black sesame Rice Krispie treats, easily made vegan with Dandie’s marshmallows & dairy-free butter!

I used a store brand “crisp rice cereal” that was labeled gluten-free to make this celiac-friendly (Rice Krispies cereal isn’t GF due to barley malt flavoring)

As someone who aims to consume minimally, I had a bit of an inner dialogue with myself before making this purchase. Ultimately, it came down to “Does it bring me joy?”. Yes, yes it does.

Honestly, in these trying times, I’m trying to find joy in the smallest of things!
