We are the only party taking Farage on and the only party beating him.
No!
Not honest Boris!
I refuse to believe this.
It’s a witch hunt!

I had a version of this point in the first draft of the letter, but we shall save that detail for the meeting!
09.10.2025 19:30 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Alongside Lib Dem MPs, I've written to the Chief Constable of the British Transport Police over concerns about their decision not to investigate bike thefts outside of train and tube stations.
We've asked for action to ensure cyclists can park safely at stations, alongside a meeting to discuss this.
Wooop!

Not 'could' - it HAS decriminalised bike theft. But it's been this way for years, have y'all just not been paying attention when we've been complaining that cops won't even check security footage? BTP see cyclists as a nuisance.
09.10.2025 06:12 — 👍 16 🔁 4 💬 0 📌 0Yesterday I drove to the station, left my car taking a space for 14hours, did my return intercity train, drove home.
Until yesterday, and as a direct consequence of BTPs announcement, I would have cycled.
One more car on the road, one less parking space. Multiply this out across the UK, daily

Together with Lib Dem colleagues I've written to the BTP to get clarity.
In particular, I asked him to outline how women across London can have confidence that they are being heard and believed when they approach a police officer.
I know good work is being done, but as we've all just seen, the Met has a lot more work to do to restore the trust Londoners deserve.
Last night Commissioner Rowley came to Sutton, and I challenged him on last week's Panorama revelations.
Despite all that has been done since the Casey review - it's clear that there are still "rotten apples" in the force. I asked him to confirm how they're going to finish the job.
“Two years ago, we watched in horror those appalling scenes of Hamas’s evil terrorist attack on Israel. 1,200 innocent people brutally slain, including hundreds of young people at a music festival. Others raped, sexually assaulted and mutilated. 251 people taken hostage, ripped away from their families. “Those terror attacks also triggered a shocking rise in antisemitism here in the UK – a terrible scourge that took the lives of Adrian Daulby and Melvin Cravitz at their synagogue last week. “We stand in solidarity with British Jews, the people of Israel and Jewish communities around the world against terrorism and against antisemitism in all its forms. “This cycle of violence has gone on for far too long, caused far too much suffering and claimed far too many innocent lives. “With new peace talks under way, we desperately hope that they will finally see the hostages returned home to their families, a lasting bilateral ceasefire, Hamas out of power in Gaza for good." Ed Davey

We’ve got 72 MPs and are the only party standing up to Labour who have refused to stop the two child benefit cap and the Tories and Reform who want to welcome Trump and Musk into our politics.

One word:
Fin.
I agree fully with Hina on this: "the right to protest is a fundamental part of British democracy.”
It's not a surprise to see the Conservatives and Reform forget about freedom of speech when it's not speech they agree with.
As a member of the Home Affairs Select Committee, I have called for an urgent enquiry into the extremely disturbing BBC Panorama report on misogyny & racism in the Met, to which I trust Sir Mark Rowley will be called to give evidence.

The attack on Jewish worshipers in Manchester is horrific.
These murders are shocking and senseless, and this incident will create fear for Jewish people across London and the UK as they mark Yom Kippur.
I send my solidarity and my love to everyone affected, and to all of our Jewish Commmunity.
Horrified and appalled by the attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
My thoughts are with the victims, our brave emergency services and the entire Jewish community.
I suspect we’re approaching this point, watch this space.
