🧵 I am asking for an urgent meeting with the Minister. I want to know if the Govt is serious about sorting out the shockingly bad situation.

We were promised nationalisation would lead to changes. Yes, change takes time. But the situation is unbearable. Sorting this out should be a priority.

Just last month, my Lib Dem colleague @paulkohlersw19.bsky.social and I raised this once again with the transport minister - but no commitment to a new timetable was forthcoming. Again.

🧵 I have raised this with Ministers several times - but they won't commit to serious action. My Liberal Democrat colleagues and I have written to the government to once again express our frustration at this latest update, and our further exasperation at continuing signal failures and overcrowding.

🧵 It doesn't work for working people who rely on Worcester Park station. South Western Rail and the Labour government are letting us down. The frequency is already shockingly bad - it is still operating a lockdown-era timetable. I receive emails every week from so many of you who are utterly fed up.

You may have already seen the news that South Western Rail are implementing a reduced summer timetable from next week until the end of August - meaning trains from Worcester Park will be even more infrequent over summer. 

Let me be very clear; this just isn't good enough.

Hospices need our care.

For too long, they have been let down, forced to rely on fundraising and treated as an afterthought in our healthcare system. But they do remarkable work at the most difficult of times.
