As someone who was once pre-diabetic here are my tips for holiday eating that I follow myself:
Prioritize protein
Get those veggies in for the fiber
Limit alcohol
Desserts in moderation
Take a walk after dinner
The after dinner walk can also help you not argue with your extended family.

It's disturbing seeing some medical and public health professionals trying to normalize RFK by saying "we have to meet him halfway."

NOPE.

RFK is a charlatan who has deliberately spread disinformation that has killed people.

Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.

The CDC and WHO report a 20% increase in measles cases last year, driven by decreases in vaccination.

This equated to 107,500 DEATHS, mostly in young children.

This, in a PREVENTABLE disease.

Can only imagine what that number will be if we get rid of all mandates.

I have yet to hear a peep out of AOA, ACOI, or ACP about the possibility of RFK Jr for HHS Secretary. As internists, it’s imperative that we advocate for vaccines, evidently based medicine, and science. Do the right thing and speak out. #medsky

Just a reminder that the HPV vaccine protects against head and neck cancers too. And can be given to kids starting at age 9 all the way to adults age 45.
You know, just case all the vaccines get taken away….by someone who doesn’t believe in them…
