Now (descending from high horse), I DO have an ex-wife. An excellent lady: smart, confident, capable, creative. I have nothing bad to say about her, except she was not a good wife, and I wasn't much of a catch myself. At no point did we manage that true connection. So I get it...

I prefer the company of my wife above all other people. 20 years in, and I'm crazy about her. I get you. I also feel sad for the couples that don't have that fire.
