One of the best teachers I had at uni (or anywhere) was Dutch. He wore a black beanie hat and a shit-eating grin *everywhere*. He was kind and would prod you with jokes if you were avoiding work (he was my BSc thesis supervisor). He had such clear, simple explanations of comp sci concepts.

Did you know that Mark Twain was obsessed with Joan of Arc? He wrote a book that took him a decade and a half and it wasn't even satire. Described as a "love letter to Joan" it imagines the life of a fictional page who served Joan.

Time for a new era for this account 😁

A shame because it could both use people like you and the rare ones who are like that are amazing to talk to!

Does that tweet have that effect 🤔? Sure it points out a group exists, but this will become rather obvious to onlookers. At least it's welcoming, because tbh I don't think it's very easy for many people to start talking when at < 10 follows/ed to randos, tho it'd be ideal.

If you've never been to one of Elle's gatherings prob worth it tbh. I mean, it's a social, depends on who you meet there, but most are interesting people and a good gender balance so things feel dynamic. If you wanna come for a weekend lark anyway, say to the jazz fest, definitely go to Elle's.

Careful tho you can blow (relatively at least) a lot of cash with it with non demo accounts. I know you're not an idiot and know this already, I'm just sharing an experience 😂
