A 4-panel comic. I'm tabling at an anime convention. Suddenly, a young man walks up to my table saying "WHOA! DUDE! LOOK!" as he points to my graphic novel "A Small Revolution". He grabs it and tells his friend "I read this in high school. I gotta show you something." He opens the book and talks to his friend about the biggest spoiler ever on the very last page. His friend says "Whoa cool". As they leave, his friend looks at me and says "I liked it a lot. Bye!" And I just sit there befuddled.

A 4-panel comic. My 3yo daughter pushes her plate away, which is not empty, and says she's full. I say "That's okay!" As I pick up the plate, she asks "What will you do with the leftovers?" so I tell her I'll throw them away. She panics: "No! Don't throw them away!!" So I hand the plate back to her: "Well do you wanna eat them?" She starts crying. "NOOO BUT DON'T THROW THEM AWAY WAAAAAH" I just stand there, confused, plate in my hand, and I say "It's just toast??"

I ask: "What's a Persian War?" She rocks on her chair. "Uh... it's, uh... a Persian war... uh..." And as she puts her head down hanging on the side of the chair, she answers the question: "It's a war between the Greek city-states and the Persian empire." The narration reads "Margot studies better with her head upside down. Can somebody tell me why?"

The show's concept: a bunch of comedians are locked up in a room together for hours and they can't laugh at the others' shenanigans (or they will be eliminated). We've watched all the seasons. I'm not as much of a fan as the others: it very quickly turns into a ton of dick and poop jokes because they're just so desperate to make anyone laugh (I make a face and the word "snob" points to me). But this season, for one of his skits, Guy Jodoin disappeared backstage and came back completely shaven-- and I do mean completely. There's a drawing of him looked spaced out, and his hair is shaved (except one long strand) his mustache is shaved, his armpits, even his EYEBROWS, and who knows what else. It's so unhinged that I am now very invested. The last panel features all of us cheering at the TV.

And then one day, you find yourself chatting with smart and funny little people and you think to yourself that you are exactly where you want to be.

Moogle, one of our cats, has taken up residence inside my vest (and I'm starting to get allergy symptoms). And Keroberos, our other cat, discovers that there's a small gap between the top of the bookshelf and the ceiling. He spent a long time trying to find out if he could fit in there.
