I sold fancy cheese knives to Sigrid Thornton in London while I was looking for scientific jobs. She was a delight. Hugh Grant and Oscar Humphries weren’t so nice.

Genome‐Wide Association Study Elucidates the Genetic Architecture of Manganese Tolerance in Brassica napus Manganese (Mn) is essential for plant growth and development, but in excess, it causes toxicity in acidic soils and limits canola production. Our multi-omics research approach unveils the genetic a...

This fabulous paper! Did you know manganese tolerance is really important for plants in certain soil types? Harsh Raman and his team demonstrated this, and I helped with yeast complementation!

Happy to announce the publication of the final chromosome of #Yeast 2.0 #SynXVI, a 903kb synthetic chromosome it took a team of scientists 9 years to build and debug. This project has implications for #agriculture #health and #biomanufacturing
