Being diagnosed with autism as an adult is strange. Part of me is glad to understand myself, part of me feels like it doesn't really make a difference.

You know, starting a fire in the kitchen used to just be the thing you had to do to use your stove. Now it's all like, "Oh no! What have you done! Put out that fire!" Yeesh. 🙄🔥

One time I mentioned Nobuo Uematsu in conversation and I swear the guy I was talking to had little cartoon hearts appear above his head. 😁 Never underestimate nerd value!

Maybe more people need to be taught this principle as well.

Give a full explanation for something science related, but it has to be wrong.

My daughter asked why ANYONE would vote for someone like Trump. It was actually an interesting exercise to try and explain to a child, especially when I'm baffled myself.

In the end, I told her that some people vote for what they hope, not what they see (or refuse to see).
