So after a solid 3ish weeks, I am finally rendering this behemoth of a project. It's got some problems I would have loved to fix, but ultimately I just needed to call this thing done. I learned alot to apply to future videos.
I have also truly learned why NEST videos take forever

Did some extra work tonight, and I have FINISHED CUTTING THE VIDEO! I am considering what I want to do for the remainder of editing. Some transitions between scenes would not go amiss, and there's a couple visual edits I want to make as well!
Expected run time is AN ENTIRE HOUR.
THIS WAS A MISTAKE.

Hmm...I've been trying to engage in socials more beyond simply advertising my stream. Get my name out there, meet new people, you know how it goes. And while that kind of works on X, with its endless deluge of STUFF on one feed, I find it harder to engage here. How are others finding people?

Another hour of video cut down to size. I definitely should have focused on doing broad cuts to mark interesting bits over timestamping in a document. Ah well, lessons for the next one.

Alot of modern games seem to think they can just declare major elements of their game 'optional' and that miraculously prevents them from being anything but a positive to the final product. Artistic game design needs to be tighter to deliver gripping experiences, not looser in the name of appeal.

Incredibly true. I have a strong distaste for games that encourage you to simply ignore or avoid the stuff you don't want. My favorite gaming experiences are the ones where the game lays out its core mechanics and says "You'll do it with these, or you can't continue".

And 2) I finally looked into and picked up a proper Timestamping feature. Hopefully I can take advantage of that to speed up future video projects.

Forgot I planned to sit in on a DnD session, so no editing progress tonight.
However, I took the chance to do 2 very much overdue things.
1) I browsed X, engaging with the community a bit more. While I can't seem to get humans on my account, I can at least go find them myself.

On the less positive side of things, my family that I live with really wants me to get back into the workforce after my transplant. I really do not want to return to working very specific hours to make literal scraps of cash.
Yet I'm at a loss for how to "fast track" streaming, my actual passion.

Good progress on editing today, managed to make cuts through a little over an hour of video. Might try to do some more tonight (Though I need to get on and do my Society dailies).

Not typically my flavor of game, but the music's nice. I'll probably play a demo if it gets one, see if it can hook me. The mochis are cute, too.
