Well, if it’s cold and wet outside it must be the time to put the oven on and start getting ready for Christmas! After soaking the fruit in brandy for most of the week the cake has made it into the oven.

So Iris has left town, and so have I! (Only for a couple of days.) I was introduced to Manchester in the late 80s and ever since it’s been calling me back. Whether to Wythenshawe, Canal St, Northern Quarter or Angel Square the city of red brick, commerce and mills is feeling like home.
