I was told I should make a thread of the birds I've taken pictures of at the park. So here we are, presented in reverse chronological order.

Heh. I'm really glad I don't live where it snows. It snows here maybe once a decade and it doesn't accumulate and melts in a few minutes. The last time it didn't even snow at my house though it did a mile away.

And all of *those* pictures *are* good 😂

Lots of birds at that park. Turkeys are all over this city but I still enjoyed watching a mom and her two chicks. There was a Mallard couple (from a distance I thought the rooster was a male Mallard), and a heron enjoying the water wastage. I have pix of all of those, maybe I should make a thread. 😋

It isn't, but you're kind. It was cool to see him; I heard a couple of my neighbors talking about him months ago.

Edit, this wasn't taken by my phone lol. Looking at that in the picture I realized it was my tiny Nikon camera.

Me wearing denim shorts and a brown tank top. My hair is braided because I knew I wouldn't be able to brush my hair for several days. I'm in a pose that looks good on me, if I do say so myself, one hand on my hip, one above my head to keep the phone out of the frame and my body is at an angle to the mirror. I have a strange little smile on my face.

As I readied myself to go have a bilateral mastectomy on September 8, 2008, I took one last selfie with my real boobs. You can see pride, resolve, fear and courage in my attempt to smile.

I searched my photos for "fluffy" looking for a picture of a particular cat. Well, the bunny exhibiting serious zoomies _was_ fluffy. Terrible picture, obviously, but as a search result it made me laugh.

We didn't get our cards out any too early but we did get the internationals out first and most of our domestic cards made it before Xmas.

Olav is hanging in there. We've been trying to sit outside more but the weather has been dismal (for here, anyway!).

Back in the day if you wanted to know the exact time there was a number you could call. The mnemonic was "popcorn" 767-2676. What many didn't know was that you could dial any four digits after 767, from 0000 to 9999.

Can you imagine that now?! A whole giant block of numbers that couldn't be used? 😂

Presents under a decorated tree. The bagged gifts rather obscure the stuff in wrapping paper. I'm still using wrapping paper but when it's used up I'm going with gift bags, which are reusable. The things in bags in this picture are just items awkward to wrap. I *am* starting to run low, though, FINALLY.

I always feel like I'm not giving enough until I see the pile under the tree.
