QA is not just about spotting bugs! (which an AI would already be shit at) it's also about testing things like game balance and game feel. You know "does the jump feel right?", "are the menu's too slow?", "does this notification need to be louder?" whatever, QA requires human feedback at it's core.

okay but they're not going to though, like, they're just not. That's impossible. AI can't do QA testing. This is just yet more evidence of corporate suits having no idea what the jobs they're trying to replace actually are.

Another stupid thing that both reflects and enables epistemic collapse is the fact that "reporting" no longer seems to have any perceived need to connect to facts. Journalism has given up on the idea that truth is knowable, and simply reports what is said, with zero judgment of truth value. 1/

The last couple months have been extremely rough on my channel. I don't exactly rake in the views on a good day, but it definitely feels abnormally bad. Which sucks, but it's some comfort to know it's not just me.

Idk what dial YouTube turned but they definitely did something. Viewership is inexplicably down around 30% for myself and many channels I watch/follow. I've never blamed the algorithm for anything in my 10 years on YT, but this is too obvious to ignore. Spoken to others who have noticed it, too.
