It is more important now than ever before that we come together to ensure the country we defended with our lives isn’t destroyed by corrupt political forces.

As someone who spent most of my life in uniform, the fact that my country is now backing an autocratic aggressor over a people who are striving for freedom makes me sick to my stomach.

Jimmy Carter had a huge impact on my life. As a kid growing up on a farm in the South he inspired me to service and was probably the main reason I decided to go to USNA. He believed in people over power and I hope to continue to follow his example. We have the watch shipmate!

A depressing day for North Carolina. The veto override of SB 382 will be bad for the state and does nothing to provide real relief for the people in WNC. It seems clear that the majority party is more interested in power than helping regular North Carolinians.
