You do control movement with the mouse as that's how you steer. My point is that steering and aiming are not only equally as important, but are also the same thing.

Movement is also momentum based in these titles, where having inbetween values of the 8 cardinal directions isn't very beneficial.

KB&M is ideal, a controller is a compromise. These old games are too fast where you'd see any benefit of an analog joystick over digital buttons for movement.

And it doesn't matter if you're trying to line your crosshair up with an enemy, or a platform. Movement and precision are one and the same.

When you know what you're doing and have a plan, it's nice to have as little friction as possible without your tools misbehaving to let you get on with it.

Being creative and able to think outside the box is nice n all, but sometimes you just wanna make the thing do the thing, without some workaround or compromise.

A render of mine I did in Blender of DDR arrows. I've been using it as my wallpaper since I made it in 2019, it's clear and vibrant yet doesn't camouflage your icons.

I had actual matches when playing Reflex Arena but I don't think I ever found an active lobby playing this game. At least the stages looked pretty and the remote controlled rockets ala Half Life was cool.

Half-Life, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift take place at the same time.

Halo 2, and Halo 3 ODST take place at the same time.

It's fascinating to me when something specific gets referred to in a derogatory way enough times for people to realise how useful it is to have a word for it, so it ends up becoming the established term.

See the Noob Combo in Halo, or Brostep in the EDM scene. Boomer Shooter probably qualifies too.

He's such a good musician. I can't even begin to wrap my head around throwing away an entire fanbase for some quick cash, along with the ridiculous email with a whole lotta words and a whole lotta not showcasing any project files.

This is so damn disappointing. He was one of my top artists for a big portion of my life.

Yeah that is no way sustainable or realistic to uphold but when it's your career, it can be hard to take time to look after yourself.
If my album sells 0 times, at least it exists instead of me being constantly burnt out.

PS1 Fusion is semi-rare but is definitely not a good game. That and PS1 Fever were clearly low effort releases, completely inferior the absolute banger of a game Party Edition (DDR 4th Mix).

Specifically GZDoom ain't a source port at this point, it's just an engine. We don't say Call of Duty games still run on the Quake III engine.
