Black Women Are Losing Jobs At Three Times The Rate Of Other Women | Essence New labor data shows Black women accounted for a disproportionate share of job losses across 2025, especially in federal, education, and care-sector roles.

"Racist people are firing and laying off Black women at three times the rate of other women."

๐Ÿ˜ฌYikes! It sounds bad when you say it like that!

"Black women are losing jobs at 3 times the rate."

Much better! Makes it sound like the Black women just need to be more careful or better at their jobs!

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

โ€œIn Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.โ€

IT SAVES PUBLIC MONEY to house people.

It is actually not mandatory for everyone else in the room when he does this to women in front of witnesses to just giggle nervously and ignore it. People could actually do the decent thing that one does in such circumstances, and tell him to back off, and take the consequences. I mean for starters.

Yes, this is correct. And the reason is because our capitalist classes have decided that it is not sufficiently profitable, so they're not going to do it.

We must understand this reality. Capital *cannot* be relied upon to address the climate crisis.

Oil is the most Lovecraftian thing that actually exists. You're telling me that there's a black ichor under the earth, made from the ancient dead, whose burning can realize all the dreams of man but only at the price of slowly returning the earth to its primordial state?

Landmark Ruling Fortifies Canadaโ€™s โ€œGood Samaritanโ€ Overdose Law Harm reductionists see the decision, protecting people from possession arrests at overdose scenes, as a vital win in a worsening landscape.

โ€œPoliticians need to do better, and this case is really, really clear on that.โ€

Harm reductionists explain a key victory, as a Supreme Court of Canada ruling affirms protection from possession arrests for people at an OD scene.
