I’m sorry…how much money? The wording is a little weird. I’m pretty sure “144k worth of money” just means $144k. But regardless, why would anyone keep that much money in their house?! Also, how do you prove you had that much money in your house?

Almost two years since diagnosis, a strange “accomplishment” that I’m quite grateful for. I think yours might be rarer and weirder.

Cholangiocarcinoma—biliary cancer—is a very rare cancer with a grim outlook. But I’m still here and it’s all thanks to medical research. A very hearty FU to DJT and RFKjr and every single person who supports or enables them.

Express Scripts every three weeks for eight months. Hours and multiple calls for each script. In remission now thank dog but damn. It was torture.

A #haiku about the US:
Sisyphus, stronger
Than that rock, is weaker than
The grief pushing us.
Stay strong my antifa siblings.

Torty cat curled up in a traditional cat pose, chin on paw, tail curled all the way around. Her white nose and mittens are in an autumn-muted sun spot on the bed.
My Kitty…. Yes, that’s her name. You can debate it with my daughter who named her. lol If you live in the US, My Kitty suggests that you spend a few peaceful moments in a sunspot before you rejoin antifa on the streets. If you don’t live in the US, don’t come here until we’ve sorted our sh*t out.

Sorry about the Covid. Oddly, the day you tested positive all crusty bread mysteriously vanished from this side of the pond.

I had a mini I bought used. It was SUCH fun to drive but ultimately because it cost about 4 times as much to take care of, I had to sell it. It’s not even the parts which are expensive; it’s the labor, because everything inevitably has to come out whenever there’s a repair.

Mad props for your choice of comfort food. I’ve never tried adding mustard. Seems like it’s quite spicy. Do you add a dollop of sour cream to the plate?

The front cover of the comic book, My Boyfriend Is a Bear by Pamela Ribon, illustrated by Cat Ferris. Pictured is a woman being carried in the arms of an upright black bear, who is also carrying a sweet gray cat on his back. They appear to be walking through a forest.
This was an absolute delight. Someone on here recommended it. I don’t remember who in order to thank them so I’m telling all of you. It’s sweet and gentle and melancholy and all-around a lovely reading and viewing experience.

Penne in a ceramic bowl. It’s covered in fresh ground black pepper and more freshly grated Parmesan cheese than allowed by law. We’re talking mounds of cheese here. And butter. Did I mention butter?
No vegetables were harmed in the making of this dinner. Yeah, I know. I am just too tired tonight. I actually love harming veg. Wait. 👀

Wolf spider in the tub this morning. She left very reluctantly and twice tried to climb into the shower with me. I rejected her overtures, preferring a solitary shower. When I left, she was attempting to weigh herself on the scale. I warned her that it lies but she didn’t seem to care.

Purple beautyberry stands out against pale green leaves. The bright morning sun makes the tiny purple fruit glisten.
Fall—The season of the beautyberry. These are a favorite stop on my daily walks through our community. They’re edible, too, but dreadful, better left to the squirrels and birds who love them.

(typing sadly) I thought we had come to an agreement that you'd give me like a day's advance notice and I'd supply the crusty bread. It's a mere 7 and half hour flight. I can be there ... soon? (It's midnight there, isn't it?) Damn it. No stew again.

Of course we did. We turned away ships filled with Jewish refugees. We chose not to get involved. If not for that Japanese attack, WWII might have ended very differently. It was a massive misstep on Japan’s part. One has to wonder what they thought would happen when they poked the sleeping…eagle?

Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense (no matter what he thinks), sure wants to use his rootie tootie point and shootie. I hope to Dog that he doesn't get what he wants. Anyone on here remember Kent State University on May 4, 1970? I was too young to understand but I still remember my mother's anguish.
