Thrilled to get to talk to students at The High School of Art And Design as part of their launch for the AAPI Club's anthology, "Have You Eaten Yet"! The 28-page collection anthology features stories that illustrates the deep cultural connections between food and history across AAPI communities.

tbf, I point-blank avoid horror because the minimum expectation of violence is too high for me. I have made it through some horror and horror-adjacent books because the prose was elevated enough to offset the intensity? But I do not use content warnings to decide whether to try at all.

I don’t mind having them unobtrusively on the c/r page for people who need them, or online, but I personally don’t seek them out. I just go into the experience of reading a book and either the writer keeps my trust or doesn’t. I read SFF and lit fic.

Here are some actionable suggestions if publishers want to actually help Black and Brown writers (rather than some publicity stunt that helps one or two people, gives a pat on the head to the publisher, and does nothing for anybody else).
