Anyways, back to the main point - I'm happy that just doing what I love has continued to bring new friends and acquaintances into my life! I continually find new people to be inspired by in my creative life and hope to keep being inspired. My work has grown so much just from getting into a wolship!!

I'm more indulgent in posting threads about my thoughts on socmed, but the thing is I've always done that and just pared back once I started getting more eyes on my stuff for fear of 'putting ppl off'. Now I'm free and do w/e I want. I'll be annoying about it if it helps others learn something new.

Too many times I've seen someone who has a lot of followers, who did not ask to be 'popular', voice an opinion that might have been better for the private group chat and inspire dozens of other people to spread similarly negative thoughts of their own (not conversing with op, just inspired by) 😅

While I'm here, I feel like follower counts matter a little too much to some when it comes to stripping **fan creators** of their personhood and scrutinizing everything they say. But at the same time, I can see there is responsibility when you have a sizeable audience, y'know?

I think follower counts and engagement numbers are a very, very fine line between making you feel bad or providing tangible fact. I feel a lot better about my work and place in the spaces I occupy so I can view it as a "oh that's neat!" these days. It has no real meaning outside of that haha 😂

It's my last day before my hiatus but I did want to say thanks for the 1k follows! A lot of those are not legit accts lol but at any rate I do think it gives me a sense of clarity when I get stuck in my head of "oh nobody looks at my stuff" when there is literally a number showing that is not true.

and i routinely get likes/reblogs on drawings i shared over 10 years ago!!!!!! it's so good for stuff like that

i won't lie, it was VERY felt when that happened and then later they also messed with how posts displayed (check your settings to make sure it's still chronological and turn off any other extra stuff you don't want!!) i find tumblr is much slower but ppl leave fun tags all the time!
