I haven’t jammed in the studio all year. I mean I had a few moments of sound creation with the computer but it’s so minimal that I almost don’t count it. so many factors at play (pun). no real end in sight. I feel life just kinda changed and I did too.

I am going to buy a hard drive solely for all my art. and the art I have purchased from others. put it with my other personal belongings that matter. ☮️

and we have had immense productivity gains from what I gather but it’s not really amounting to much for the average citizen. And one calamitous event in real estate and the stock market could erode whatever financial protections some have. 2/

i dont know how we find the balance between work and family life. Because our business world is so competitive with few safety nets. And the one we had in federal jobs is getting downsized. and we have figured a way to use the productivity gains to further push our workers. 1/

And the mentorship we have is more cult like. I am talking about the more organic friendships in the workplace. I was lucky to have at least one.

I guess the concept of mentorship is sorta dead at the moment. And it’s really sad to witness in general. And now we have AI to answer questions with no stories behind it. And why listening with affirmation is a lost art.

A demand for real Change!

As I get older, the workplace gets younger and I struggle more and more to feel comfortable. I really wish I could step aside entirely. I think this probably is how most older workers careers finish up.

Never seen Lost and I kinda want to for sure. The Wire was powerful for me as I had Baltimore roots so maybe that hit me differently.

I think the reality is these folks that want to make America great were getting their ass kicked by life. And someone gave them a path to feel powerful again. Although the consequences of that choice are stark for what we thought democracy and the melting pot stood for.

well when you look at fiscal issues thru a very rigid lense of profit/loss, it’s easy to think GOP policies (well the old ones) are the right path. but not understanding the social costs break down that logic although you have to be willing to think on several levels beyond immediate gain.

Okay it looks like this is the second bankruptcy in seven years and yes now private equity has taken ownership. They are closing around 300 stores. The business model appears to have run its course. Zero to do with that bogus letter

and yeah quantitative easing will be a destructive force. the debt is limiting any other options. and now we will cut federal non-essential workers (the ones making the long term social investments), sell out to private equity, and worst possibly disrupt our long standing supply chains. 2/

it’s definitely eye-popping how a small subset percentage wise can drive the market upwards like this. at some point the sector rotations will start and the small investors will feel that sucking sound the worst. however who is to say how long this run will last. 1/

Yeah they have been around a very long time as a cheap jewelry and ear piercing place for young folks. Probably affected by tariffs and the general demise of malls thats occurred for the last 10-15 years. But the propaganda is staggering.
