Apropos of nothing, I'm happy to announce my little Miqo gremlin (purple tie) finally cleared M4S in FFXIV last night 🥳 This expac was my first time trying savage so this was very satisfying for me 😁

I have played through some games with a friend that is also learning, and we do it in chunks every week, which does make it feel less of a slog. Maybe we can tackle a visual novel at some point.

Well first, I wonder if saying お疲れ様 would be applicable here ha. I feel like I've had a lot of similar feeling trying to consume written media in Japanese (usually light novels). It can feel much more tiring and I haven't been able to completely finish one yet, sticking mostly to manga for reading.

Last day in Japan finally went to the top of Tokyo Tower! 🗼 I still cannot believe the scale of this city.

Haha! Well I passed a newly opened shop that had merch with anime girl illustrations by different artists for different sightseeing spots in Japan, including the Shimanami Kaido! Since I just did that I had to buy it. Also passed a Yuru Camp pop up shop and collab cafe and had to go 😇

I went back to Akihabara one last time to get a figure for a friend.. tell me why I walked away with 5 different things 😭 I need to leave this place

This might be a hot take (or maybe this is the old man in me) but Tokyo is really just a bit too big/loud/busy for my taste. I still love it though! Convenient is an understatement. It really has everything.

Today is my last day in Japan. I have a complicated set of emotions about that lol. But mostly I don't want to leave!! 😭 I'll be posting more from my trip when I have time!

I've learned a couple things about myself recently: high speed trips are doable but definitely take a lot out of me. That and I don't have a lot of energy for social media when traveling lol
