Risky post!

(This is great, fun to read and the frustrated tone throughout really does capture how it feels sometimes to be an experienced programmer trying to argue that "LLMs are actually really useful" in many corners of the internet)

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd.
It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Yeah, I tried that, another browser, even another machine completely. All with the same issue. Even tried hacking the HTML/JS, but it is something server-side.

Nope. One of the technical expertise options is permanently disabled (as it errored out once when adding an event) and won't go to the next step.

I've deleted all the events, etc to see if it would fix it but no.

I also waited until the last minute and spent a lot of the weekend working on it. But ended up not being able to submit because of a bug in the site. So frustrated.
