Flipping heck, that looks nasty. I hope it heals quickly and you're back to normal soon.

I bought an advent calendar today. Yes, yes I am too old for such things but who doesn't like opening a cardboard window every day during December and getting rewarded with a small piece of chocolate. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜

I had to replace a nearly new car tyre the same day my house insurance needed to be paid. I don't want to go all sheriff of Nottingham but I may have to cancel Christmas to pay for it all.πŸ˜¬πŸ™„

I'll be honest, it's not grabbing me like other books of yours I've read. 😁

That was awful, gave me the cringe reading it.

I think it's thirteen digits, so if your wealth, (don't forget your piggy bank and down the back of the sofa coins) is thirteen digits long you're probably a trillionaire.

I'm trying to remember a quote from a famous writer that kind of addressed this by saying, yes there were cows in their fantasy world, and they used the word cow as an identifier but they wouldn't resemble a cow as we know it.

That works surprisingly well.

@delilahsdawson.bsky.social Hi, I've just finished reading 'Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd' fangtastically* fun, spooky season read. I loved the characters, setting, and story very much.

*Sorry😁

My two main hobbies are very analogue: drawing and reading. The only problem is that recently I've been trying to learn to draw digitally, (tablet and stylus, not AI) and I read more ebooks than paper.πŸ™„πŸ˜ I need to make a bigger effort back to analogue.

I think growing up in the 80s and 90s I must have gone to see a dozen films purely because of his posters capturing the fun and excitement of a new film. Had many of them at one time or another on my bedroom wall too.

All of my books are pristine, they cost me a lot of money, some were gifts, so I like to not damage them. Writing in them, breaking the spines, or page bending gives me the ick. I look after all my possessions, it's not edgy or cool to trash your belongings.

I definitely got better looking after finishing Future's Edge. πŸ˜πŸ™‚

@sarahjdaley.bsky.social I've just finished reading 'Wings of Steel and Fury'. I really enjoyed it, the last one hundred pages were nail biting, edge of your seat fun. I loved 'Obsidian' when it came out too, so I knew this would be good, (must reread that). I look forward to your next book.

Brilliant! I also think you'd be great at narrating your books for audio.

😳 There's definitely a story behind this.😁

I read a lot of fantasy, so I like a good prologue, never understood the hatred some people have for them. They're like those fun scenes at the start of a Bond movie, what are they called again, oh yes, prologues.

04.10.2025 06:11 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I loved this book, I don't know what happened to my copy. I've often thought about it over the years it was a lot of fun.
