Dungeon developer. I build tools to make a GMs life easier. Although it has only seemed to make mine harder so far. I probably just need to go deeper... Profile Image: Johann Christian Leopold Cover Image: László Mednyánszky

Been forever since I took a moment to just chill for a bit with inks.
From our first time playing #shadowdark
Tried to emulate the old school feel and a bit of weathering afterwards, probably that took me longer than the drawing part but oh well ✨

Perfection. Almost exactly how it looked in my mind when I ran it. Would love this on the wall.

Snap, feels like DCC but with a cleaner vibe. I like it.

I will explore this map. Love the rivers following the edges but not feeling unnatural. 👏

I will leave my initial reply in place as a monument to my silliness and evidence that the brain is probably better off with coffee.

It's not an easy run! Luckily (or unluckily) I felt a bit rough start of the year and avoided coffee for a couple days, and then kept going. Nearly 5 weeks now! From pints a day to zero, aside from the odd green tea. So it's possible!

Cat Quest - release Cat Quest is a choose-your-own-adventure style hexcrawler. It’s almost a ttrpg and would make a great onramp, but besides that it’s just good solo fun. It’s for kids in the 7-12+ range or anyone...

Got a kid you'd like playing #ttrpg some day soon? Get them started sending a cat on a quest!

An absolute blinder. Love the secret door/pew touch, great little narrative detail to play with at the table.

Yeah I mean, as a forever DM I couldn't even put a price on getting to play in a 26 hour campaign over a long weekend. 🤩

I'm sure this is an amazing event but I was just looking at the price of the March event, dear lord. That is a luxury weekend 😯

Implying that even if the people at the head of the snake aren't evil, but their product or service is, then they have to pursue evil as part of their fiduciary responsibility to their share holders. That said, you probably have to have a little immorality in your soul to get to the capitalist top.

Infinite Growth (it is bad)
YouTube video by Thought Slime Infinite Growth (it is bad)

@mattcolville.bsky.social I believe Thought Slime hit the nail of my own thoughts on the head on this topic. The grey-goo of capitalism means that at a point, companies are legally required to act in the best interest of those who hold stake in their company, not the consumers.

Having spent most of my TTRPG times deep in medieval fantasy (and a sprinkling of sci-fantasy), I jumped into some solo Acthung! Cthulu this week. Had a blast with @mericmoir.bsky.social's Operation Ultimatum. Great GM friendly introduction. Pulpy and weird, my solo rules made it even weirder. 🐙🦑👁

For exactly that, my profile picture choice. But I liked the picture more than I worried about people presuming it AI. Still, my anxieties demanded I make some nod to it.

But I totally understand the take. I previously did have an AI pfp that I generated years ago when they were still quite mediocre of quality and less objectively awful of morality. I opted to switch to something from the public domain as it captured the feel, and I like dead pictures by dead people.

Aye, I always wondered why HMRC had to be so awkward with the 5th of April. Now, it makes perfect (non)sense.

The Zungeon Manifesto: Demystifying Dungeon Creation I have a really large earring collection; I have perhaps as many earrings as I have TTRPGs, and I mainly buy them from local craft markets, not jewellers. They’re all made from resin or clay,…

Happy new year, everyone! I wrote a manifesto for 2025! In 2025, I'm doing to review as many ZUNGEONS as I can get my hands on. Let's lower the bar on making dungeons, but keep in gorgeous. Here's how to make a zungeon. playfulvoid.game.blog/2025/01/01/t... #osr
