Dr. Iván Balán and his team are working on an new rectal microbicide study via the HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN). The RevUP study compares the safety, adherence, and acceptability of 2 HIV prevention methods and introduces an adherence counseling intervention.

In October, the Great Race Annual 5K Run/Walk was held in Perry, FL. Proceeds were donated to community efforts for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. CTBS Assistant Director, Sara Green participated and placed 3rd in gender/age group. Way to go, Sara!
