Reading online where people say "Prime 1 is a 10/10 but Prime 4 is an 8/10" makes me wonder what their scale looks like. What games are a 1/10 to them? Because if you don't have an example for both ends of the spectrum, you DO NOT HAVE A SCALE

Favorite Metroid game?

immediately after writing this i realized that a game that literally killed its voluntary players would:
1. be incredibly popular
and:
2. reenable darwin's theory of natural selection, cleansing humanity's gene pool of people who would play a game you could die in

I don't get extraction shooters. Let's just accelerate to the logical conclusion of "it raises the stakes to lose stuff you spent real world time gathering":

if you die in the game a pneumatic tube in your gamer helmet rockets into your brain, killing you instantly

People talk about "Indie vs AAA" all the time, but the real thing we need to fear is AAA companies masquerading as "indie".

In Metroid Prime Remastered Samus puts her hand on her arm cannon occasionally, this is good, it's immersion increasing and the kind of little detail that elevates a game. In Prime 4 she does not do this.
