this was all fine and dandy until around 13-14 when the twins grew into their more humanoid forms. zander felt... wrong (he was born a girl btw) and this caused him to act out much more than usual. skipped out on his studies, snapped back at his parents, etc. here's a visual age timeline for them

so zander has a twin sister named seychelles (he calls her chel and so do I) and they grew up in a higher status part of inkopolis. zander was a very bright kid and excelled in school.. chel was pretty normal, but thier family was okay with having one golden child so she flew under the radar LOL

both change gameplay tremendously but I think the difference is that the squid roll/surge came out on launch while 11.0 is coming out years after the game had been launched. with that said I think the 11.0 update changes a lot more ? and that the changes aren't strictly movement mechanics
