Thurston County just unveiled a new “I Voted” sticker as part of efforts to boost registration + turnout. The design, created by local resident Alexis Trono, features the WA Capitol dome + rhododendrons in a modern red, white + blue palette. 🌸🏛️

Across party lines, many opposed the gas tax hike because Washington already has one of the highest gas tax rates in the U.S., road conditions haven’t noticeably improved despite past hikes, and there remains strong bipartisan resistance to new taxes.

When respondents asked why they gave a negative approval rating 42% said it was due to the new 6-cent gas tax increase.
