Signature gathering is a right.

Washington state law protects voters' rights to take part in the signature-gathering process for ballot initiatives and referenda. Interfering with this process is illegal and considered a gross misdemeanor. See RCW 29A.84.250 for more. 1/2

Today, our Corporations and Charities team, along with representatives from Consumer Protection WA, attended the Winlock Older Adult Center for Timber River Connections Senior Resource Fair, where they provided resources on fraud awareness and prevention.

Yesterday, we visited the Lewis County Auditor's office in Chehalis, WA, to meet with staff, discuss election security, and learn about their new ballot sorting and processing machine.
