…all wet and covered in mud. He took it home, gave it a bath and took care of it until it became a full rooster. The rooster was so troublesome. Finally it was given a forever home out of town but my dad asked not to slaughter it for food. The rooster died of old age.

Well, my dad, who is the kindest person I’ve ever known, he said "set them free. They want to be free" but in my situation "free" would mean back in the streets. No way. It made me real sad. My dad used to rescue any kind of animal in trouble he saw. There was this time he found this small chick…

"You should get rid of some cats". Easier said than done! It is not that I will kick them out or put them back in the streets or anything. Either I find homes for them or they stay, and that’s it.
