Something I enjoy about @thetolkienist.com newsletter is reminders of what happened this week in Tolkien's life. This edition noted that this was the week in which the Professor and his daughter went to Italy. I love that one of his letters refers to it as Gondor! Artistic inspiration, for sure 🧡
