There's that bad-cringe trend where you ask the delusion machine to make a caricature of you at work out of stolen art based on everything it knows about you. I don't roll with that shit. I make my own art. I may lack skill, but (to quote FOB) I have twice the heart.

Went to buy coffee. In the lift was this exchange:

Girl: Why are you so afraid of diving?
Guy: I'm afraid of the dark water. The way it just rises up to you. I mean, you're falling into it. It's so much.
Girl: Dude.
Guy: I'm also afraid of heights. Only thing I'm not afraid of is K-Pop.

Yeah, I think that was the last time I drink the office coffee. Twice in a row now it tastes just really off, like something had gone bad.

I'll probably make my coffee at home and bring it to the office.

Turns out my surrounding areas are fairly walkable, provided it stays cool. We could've explored further, but today it was already baking by 9am.

Went for a walk with the wife. We explored a few new areas and found a nice little cafe serving good coffee and breakfast (a little pricey, but okay for the occasional treat).

I can at least say I got my steps in. And a tan.

Lucy is riding her bike home. Narration: On the ride home, I kept thinking "If I'd been there, could I have warned them? Finished my first two books of the year: Terry Pratchett's The Wee Free Men and A Hat Full of Sky. Two truly wondrous books that I'm glad I read back-to-back, because they build on each other so well, and both are really wise and explore the magic in kindness, curiosity, knowledge, and the mundane.

Just bought Silent Hill f. I hope I don't regret it. I don't do well with survival horror, but this game is the most intrigued I have ever been with a Silent Hill title (except may PT).

I only have budget for *one* game, so it's a tussle between Silent Hill f and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

(Or maybe I'll just get both and eat only instant noodles and Gardenia bread for a month).

Bought coffee at a small cafe and the owner gave me a slight discount because I brought my own tumbler. But now he has screwed the lid on so tight that I fear I may never be able to open it again.

It's a nice, windy day so I opened the window a little wider to let the breeze in, but to my dog I may have just opened a portal to evil and that we're all going to die.

I'm sure many would enjoy its smorgasbord of anime and idol thrills, but I kinda wished that it were a simpler slice-of-life modern retelling of Princess Kaguya -- the earlier scenes of Iroha and Kaguya navigating tightly-budgeted co-living were my favorite parts.
