Before drinking his iced Americano one of his eyebrows tilts upward questioningly. “You, especially, shouldn’t say this JK-ah. You have good chemistry with everyone.”

JK huffs and puffs in annoyance. “Listen to me hyung,” he says in a deadpan seriousness. “We should do as I say, okay?”

As he averts his gaze from YG’s sharp ones that seem like seeing through JK’s soul, he pulls his arms over his chest in defense.

“They have a good chemistry, because.”

YG leans over the table with slouched shoulders and grabs the glass on the table.

So that is how he finds himself in front of YG.

“I think we should separate our boyfriends from each other.”

A little smirk curls onto YG’s lips, a tiny bit downcasted on the edges. “And why do you think that is?”

JK can’t help the pout that is forming on his lips.

That is when JK decided to kiss NJ on the forehead, gathering up his courage and disguising the kiss under the pretense of being a brat maknae who was giving his leader a birthday kiss (then JM and TH followed the idea and it became a trend. The traitors!).

Well, he pretends to sleep.

He felt this once before, or more than once. The first time was when Jackson was all around and occasionally name-dropping NJ here and there.

Everything goes according to JK’s plans until he realizes that NJ actually doesn’t recognize his voice. JK feels a pit in his heart, empty and all-consuming. When NJ comes back home that night, it’s the first time JK separates his bed and sleeps on the couch in the living room.

Then it follows with the event NJ is holding. JK decides to call his boyfriend and pull a prank on him. Of course, the company knows, and the staff has a heads-up.

He doesn’t even realize that he actually is on the wrong side of the fandom and that if he looked at the other side, he would have seen the other things like how THEE namkookers fawning over the relationship between NJ and Bam

Telling him where and how much he lacks.

So, of course, it’s a bad idea to create an anonymous account to lurk in the fandom without risking himself to be exposed to his hyungs or close friends. All JK’s TL flows with the hug NJ and JM shared.

which leads him not to see or pick up the immediate signs of NJ’s distress if not to be told directly. JM taught him so many things.

However, there is this annoyingly and dangerously sweet voice in his head. Constantly talking with a ring on the edge of its words.

He is kind, emotionally self-aware, and kind of their emotional pillar. He also helped NJ in the past, so many times that JK forgot the numbers. And JK is also grateful to have JM in their life since he can be a tough nut to crack, stubborn, and sometimes dense,

So, when JK tips the gossip pages about his relationship with NJ under the guise of joking, no, it isn’t gossip at all but no one needs to know that, right?

But then, ITS happens, well, the 2nd season to be precise.

JK knows well that JM is essentially a nice guy.

And damn that they have so many memories (as they should). At the moment, it never crosses JK’s mind that actually he and JM probably have the most memories together and that even leads to them having the most shippers.

No, absolutely nope. JM is his bestest friend and NJ is madly in love with JK.

JK, regardless of his faith in his relationship and friendship, spends the night hiding from NJ and watching all kinds of compilations of NJ and JM together.

Second, there is nothing to be jealous of (he scoffs). And third, NJ is DEADLY IN LOVE WITH JK, thank you very much. And lastly, JM is JK’s best friend and he already has his own nerd boyfriend.

But, there, there it is... The whiny sound of his in his ears talking nonstop.

He asks, he tries to come up with the reasoning behind JK’s mood swings, and even though he doesn’t get it, he tries to make it up to JK. And at that point, JK can’t accept the truth. It makes him feel embarrassed. Because, one, JK isn’t really jealous of JM and NJ.

It is good. JK knows he is bigger than JM, taller and broader. BUT! But he is still smaller than NJ, so he is small too, DUH!

JK is all sulky and pouty after that, the whole week.

Of course, like a good boyfriend NJ notices the shift in JK.

NJ mentions his interest in small and cute things where he has JK and JM on both of his sides. Of course, fans go crazy about this. They make edits on this. When NJ says small, the focus goes on JM, and when he says cute, they focus on him.

Like, there is nothing to be upset about from the start and he isn’t upset either. He is just disappointed, slightly.

Then there is this interview. NJ is in an all-purple suit with a purple turtleneck, he looks DELICIOUS.

JM pours a glass of champagne and hands it to NJ because he is good with alcohol and a good drinking buddy. JK pouts some more. He can drink 2 liters of beer!

He never shows his disappointment to NJ or JM.

JM shows their photo album and says his and NJ hyung’s came out well. JK retorts, “All of our photos came out well.”
Or, NJ stops the MV and points out JM’s scene to show how beautiful he looked there. JK pouts. “We all look beautiful, hyung.”

JM is his best, bestest friend, and NJ is his boyfriend. And nothing, NOTHING can ever change it.

The catch, tho, is that JK can’t stop himself from inserting in between the duo whenever they are together or even mentioned together.

It starts all subtle.

But he swore that he was good and there was nothing to feel bad about. Since JK is the one who goes to the same bed with NJ, sleeps with him, wakes up to him, and everything beyond that.

JK isn’t a jealous boyfriend, he would never be jealous of JM and NJ.

Everything started when JK found those accounts on sns solely dedicated to NJ and JM called minimoni. Like, what the heck is minimoni? Why the hell do they use mini for JM? Especially when NJ is into small things. The audacity? It left JK wheezing and boiling inside.

His love for NJ was already out there for every soul to know even though NJ himself had a hard time accepting this fact, they managed after a little bit of hardship. Now, settled down in their relationship, they are THEE IT COUPLE (nobody can convince JK otherwise).

A #namkookau where JK and NJ are already in a relationship for 5 years after 3 years of a situationship. And everything is perfect, okay? There is nothing JK would want more.
