On June 9, 2021, the Keystone XL project was abandoned by its developer. At the time of the project's cancellation, approximately 8% of the pipeline had been constructed.

TC Energy had begun construction, but only about 480 km of the entire $8B project was completed across N America when it was abandoned, with very little in Canada.

While some work & economic activity occurred, very little of the Keystone XL pipeline was actually built in Canada before the project was canceled in 2021.

Your post that the UCP built the pipeline in AB with 1.3B is false. The AB Keystone portion has been built since 2010. Kenney put 1.5B of AB tax dollars down to keep the US portion of phase 4 going b/c TC Energy walked away. Our tax dollars were lost when Biden cancelled the US portion of Keystone.

Phases 1 to 3 are built. Phase 4 was cancelled by Biden.
