Still, that “career” ended up being a creative one, and I get to travel all over like they did because of it. Still, I have dreams of being the frontman in a band. Wonder if that’s what I’d be doing if I followed in my parent’s footsteps

I wonder where/what I’d be doing if I did what my parents did in their early 20s and abandoned everything to pursue music. I was a musically inclined child; I sang and played multiple instruments, but my parents insisted I study and pick a normal career.

I’ve been asked plenty to do YT for detailing and DIY paint and bodywork. I’d be up for it if I could find a video editor.

And honestly, if your work doesn’t sell itself, you probably shouldn’t be detailing outside of vehicle rental/body shop/car dealer. If our new garage has a spot for it, I’ll put more effort into detailing cars outside of our own.

Detailing is best as a self-employed, kind of like window tinting or vehicle wraps. Companies pay you $20-25/hr for a job that you can really make $40-60/hr. Security is the only reason most people detail for company like vehicle rental, body shop or car dealership.
