If you previously had a beta build installed, now is the time to update. There are new features including better day of experiences and notification controls!

I keep giving LLMs a chance to impress me, whenever I encounter a boring task that they should be good at, and they keep shitting the bed. Not like 'this was too hard a problem for fancy autocomplete' shitting the bed, like 'randomly deleting swathes of code' shitting the bed

26.05.2025 20:53 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0@kadi.bsky.social I was able to get this to work! github.com/storybookjs/... I think the storybook team will also update the base template so that no one else hits this.
Gosh expo is still *SO* good and the 53 upgrade is really exciting
Gotcha, I'm not using the native side of things, just trying to get web part working. It looks like expo compiles expo-router to js but keeps the jsx (based on comments for nativewind) but it seems storybook can't handle this
14.05.2025 15:08 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0@expo.dev @kadi.bsky.social have you had any luck getting the <Link> component from expo-router to render in the new storybook setup (i.e. github.com/kadikraman/r... like this example). Everything works until I include a <Link> and then I get "React is not defined"

14.01.2025 21:14 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Small but steady improvements to loading speed & scrolling! 🎉
1. Images from Google should now load much quicker when navigating pages
2. The map view now requires two fingers to move around when not in full screen mode. This should make scrolling and pull-to-refresh easier!
Settings page, with a link to “Manage your tags” and description of “create and manage custom tags for your lists”
“Add a new tag” form with a name field, a color picker, and an icon picker
“Add a place” form with an address and place name field and a tag picker showing a newly created “planespotting” tag
✨ New: Custom tags! ✨ Tags are a great way to organize and find places in your lists. Now, you can create custom tags to make your lists your own!
For now you can only create tags. Editing and removing custom tags as well as hiding the default tags are still in progress and will be available soon!
Right now, Trek is only available on the web since it's an easier place to iterate and figure out what feels right.
I've been using Trek for a couple months now, and it's already changed how I travel.
Try it out, and let me know what things feel fun, confusing, or useful!

A title “Share a link to your place with anyone” above a preview of the trek app for a list named “Nice”. Includes a map view of the “Nice” list with a bunch of pins on the map.
A title “Collaborate with friends or partners” above a preview of the trek app for a place called “Roseleaf bar cafe”. Includes a card saying “added by jake about 1 month ago”, and a couple notes by different users on the quality of the service and drinks.
A title slide showing the trek logo, which is a parakeet, the Trek title, and a slogan “Your place for your places”. Also includes a url to letstrek.app.
Trek is designed with sharing and collaboration in mind. Frequently, I’ve either asked or answered the question, “Where should I go in this city?” Trek is built to be the solution to this question. Whether making a list of places at home or abroad, Trek is your place for your places.

A title, “Make lists of your favorite places”, above a preview of the trek app with a list titled “Nice”, a thumbnail photo of a beach, and a description of a trip in the past. It’s a description of the kinds of places the list contains
A title “remember your experience with notes” above a preview of the trek app. Includes a photo of a teapot and a cocktail, a place named “Roseleaf bar cafe” and two comments by different trek users.
A title “Group by tags to make places easier to find” above a preview of the trek app’s “Add a place” form. The form includes an address field, a place name field, and a picker to choose up to 3 tags for a place. The tags chosen are “Food”, “Drinks”, and “Dessert”.
I’ve been on the road for six months, exploring some of the most stunning places on earth. I created an app, Trek, that I wish I had sooner to keep track of all the amazing places I’ve been and the ones I still want to visit.
