My son flew out from Pittsburgh and visited me here in St. Paul last week. I was super-honored when he asked me to take his Senior Photos. He chose Mill Ruins Park as the place he wanted to shoot and asked me to use the coloring style I use for my street photography.

One year ago today, I was living in the DC area. I shot this on one of my many walks around the Capitol. Now I live in MN, and my ❤️ aches terribly for DC.

"If you live in Alaska, I need you to buy a Ukrainian flag and turn any area that Putin is going to be into a sea of Ukrainian flags - so many that, when Putin lands, all he's going to see is just yellow and blue."

I do increasingly fear being too honest online... but our country is in serious danger on many fronts. We've got each other. There are more of us than them even if they are more powerful than they should be.

Looking through some old shots and feeling homesick for DC. I know I've only been here since June, but I'm hoping St. Paul continues to grow on me more. Wish I could find other photographers to connect and shoot with, like with StreetMeet and PortraitMeet in DC, though.

Moving to St. Paul Minnesota in a couple of weeks for a new job with the state government. I would rather not leave DC, but I can't stay here either.

Any MN locals have tips on good photography spots?

Rarely a week goes by where at least once or twice I don't think to myself: "What would Carlin say about this?".

God, I miss that man.

I still like to think "George Santos" was the persona of a performance artist that got WAAAAAY in over his head and is now paying for it. That's my truth and I'm sticking to it. I mean, it's almost as plausible as a phony, idiot gameshow host bumbling his way into the presidency.
