In spite of the app being reluctant to work on my TV this morning, I managed to coax it into life and watch the programme. I'm glad I persevered. I'm intrigued by the brutality to outsiders, and moved to wonder how frequently that happened. Lots to ponder.

My immune system is a drama queen. Had my first dose of shingles vaccine yesterday. Today, soaring temperature, wobbly legs. I'll be fine in a couple of days.

I don't think I'll be using the Don't Like button any more than you will, but the Block button is an important feature without which many women would feel unsafe on social media. The men I mentioned before are just an irritation, but too many of us find it necessary to block men we've known irl.

I rarely block people for their opinions. I block, early and often, the men who see any social media as an alternative dating app and want to "get to know" me "better". I think they must try it on with any woman that smiles in her profile pic.

...I love hugs, so I said "Not at all!", and we hugged. It was lovely to have been asked for consent. (He's gay and I'm ace, so there was nothing sexual about it, it was just like hugging a friend.)

I think consent makes any form of physical contact better. I recently met an author to whom I had been making encouraging remarks on social media about his forthcoming book. His instinct was to hug me, but rather than just going for it he said "Do you mind if I give you a hug?"...

My guess is that a lot of these people used to actually love it, but get annoyed when it changes. Which is silly, it changes all the time, and always did. My first Doctor was Jon Pertwee, and I still watch now. Do I love every single episode? No, but I don't expect to! 🤷‍♀️

Whoops. Nice to know she was taking it all in, though. Not that would expect anything less from Ms Toksvig.

Well, I gave it another wash with shampoo just in case, and it doesn't feel too bad, just a bit dry after all that washing 😂

Washed my hair with body wash and my body with shampoo🤦‍♀️

I meant to say - in North America the book's title will be Queer Enlightenments and the publication date is some time in October.

Finally, it's publication day for this fabulous book! I got my copy early at a launch event on Tuesday where Anthony was interviewed about the book and signed copies afterwards. If you're interested in queer history you're bound to find it a good read, and a very informative one. In bookshops now!

He was magical. I'm really disappointed that he's gone so soon. Of the 21st century Doctors, I think DT will always be my favourite, but Ncuti has been a revelation, particularly this season. He shines.

Ah, lovely! I was 12 in 1972; little did I know what was happening in the world outside my little bubble, or that I would one day be joyfully labelling myself as queer! Happy Pride!
