A stronger case for why D.C. should become a state has never been made. Trump’s seizure of power today is based on false pretext and is meant to distract from Epstein. But it has real consequences.

The people of D.C. should not be ruled by a tyrant. This is intimidation without representation.

AMERICANS: "Release the Epstein Files!"

TRUMP: "Why don't I just militarize Washington, D.C. instead? Now you have something else to talk about! Because your town could be next."

Now the Epstein files are the distraction from the fact that assface is doling out martial law across the country. Martial law would allow him to cancel the midterm elections. Amazing that there is something worse than the Epstein files that uses the files as a distraction.

10 years ago absolutely everyone across the political spectrum would say the President deploying the military to police Americans is an impeachable offense and outrage abuse of power.

Let's be clear, this is the situation we face:

Let’s be clear about what this is.

This is NOT about homelessness or crime.

This is an authoritarian regime using the US military to seize a Democratic city, terrorize its residents, and lock up Black & Brown people.

Deployed federal troops to disperse people in sleeping bags.

The biggest single violent criminal event in DC history was masterminded by and on behalf of Trump who is himself, of course, a convicted felon. The police he today said he would protect and empower were the primary victims of the mass attack he incited.

Democratic Mayors Association: “Let’s be clear—crime is down in most major cities, including D.C., and it’s happening despite Trump, not thanks to him. If he truly cared about public safety, he wouldn’t have slashed the very programs that actually prevent crime.”

The reason Trump has slapped tariffs on the entire world is not to protect American workers.

What Trump cares about is being able to get concessions out of other countries and corporations that seek exemptions.

It's all about his ability to hand out punishments and rewards.

Tom Cotton's home state, Arkansas, has Little Rock. Little Rock is the United States' 4th most violent city. It has a *much* higher crime rate than Washington, D.C. This is just the white supremacy talking.

The party of small government is currently advocating for federal troops and members of the military to patrol the streets and detain citizens.

And the GOP fluffers on social media are just… fine with that?

The most interesting thing about Trump federalizing the DC police force is that Trump still hasn’t released the Epstein files.

It will either happen before canceling the mid-terms or immediately afterwards when he falsely declares the Democrats won because of massive election fraud.

Little Rock has a Black mayor, crime rate higher than DC and is minority white, but maybe Trump didn’t mention it because of Sarah.

Make no mistake: federalizing the police and deploying the National Guard to DC isn't about a non-existent crime wave. It's an authoritarian move to crush dissent and strip Americans of their right to self-govern. This is a chilling precedent for every city in America.

Oh good, at least someone isn’t ignoring that this happened — as the Sunday shows and press corps say nothing.

If you live in a red state, don’t be smug about federal troops taking over DC or LA, or some other blue city. You’re next.

Every week ordinary citizens are holding protests in your capitols. How long before Trump or even your governor activates the Nat’l Guard on the pretext of crime control?

According to them it will probably be too dangerous for us to vote in midterms.Major Democratic cities will be falsely accused of violence and people will be deterred by the show he creates with armed guards in the street.Of course this will outrage Dems and there may very well be problems by then

The Felon-in-Chief is preparing for a total police state. POTUS is well on his way to swap out checks and balances for boots and batons. It’s more than having a lot of cops—it’s about how his power is enforced, who gets disappeared, and how dissent is crushed.

What is happening in D.C. is just a trial run. The ultimate goal is to be able to use force to take over and subdue any city/state that didn't vote for Trump.

Imagine if "combating homelessness" meant housing people, not brutalizing and disappearing them.

How do you have the authority to deploy the national guard today, but you blamed Nancy Pelosi for them not being there on January 6th.
