Generative AI models are skilled in the art of bullshit Large language models are unconcerned with truth because they have no concept of it — and therein lies the danger

The philosopher Harry Frankfurt argued that bullshit was "a greater enemy of the truth than lies are".

But is generative AI-generated botshit even worse than human-generated bullshit? (Yes)

Exclusive: US, Russia explore ways to restore Russian gas flows to Europe, sources say With a frost covering Europe's energy relations with Russia, officials from Washington and Moscow have held discussions about the U.S. helping to revive Russian gas sales to the continent, eight sources familiar with the talks have told Reuters.

This story requires a great deal more attention. The Trump administration is doing everything it can to get Russian gas back into Europe. This is Washington and Moscow now in full strategic alignment via a shared vision of a fossil fuel future.

Russia's meat assaults are only growing in size, with less armor, relying on motorcycles and donkeys, Russian casualties are at records.

Despite negligible gains, Putin just throws more into the fire, and the Ukrainian Army keeps killing them.

Chute de 63% de l’abondance des insectes volants entre 2021 et 2024 (UK).

Je pensais avoir donné l’information la plus importante de la journée, mais en fait non. La contraction de 0,3% du PIB américain est ce qui compte vraiment.

Global hydrogen demand has grown 𝟯𝘅 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 than the experts predicted.

For 50 years, analysts have projected rapid uptake (6-15% pa.). Instead hydrogen has tracked global GDP, growing ~3% pa.

Will hydrogen finally take off - or are we still being too optimistic?

“the exact cause of death may never be known because when her body was returned during the exchange on 14 February, certain parts were missing, namely the brain, eyes and larynx.”

Russia has offered the United States to fight "Eurofascism" together.

The Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) published an article about European "fascism." It is about fascism in Britain and France, which Washington and Moscow allegedly opposed together in the international arena.

Rainfall map of the UK

Rainfall map of the UK

Much of England & Wales had the driest March for over 60 years, with less than 1mm being recorded for the entire month. April is now predicted to have little significant rainfall. It's the main planting season for crops... we need to start talking seriously about #FoodSecurity & reducing #FoodWaste.

To see why destroying the US science enterprise is so detrimental to the world, we have to realize that the US spends more on research and development than any other country in the world (by far), and if we remove China and Japan, the US spends almost as much as ALL other countries combined.

In 2030, over its lifetime an EV will only consume 20 litres of materials for its battery versus over 12,400 litres of fuel for a combustion engine car.

This will represent huge progress toward reducing Europe’s reliance on energy imports.

La menace sur l'habitabilité des USA, incapables ne serait-ce que d'infléchir légèrement le système productif et de consommation, impose de maîtriser toujours plus de ressources. Ces géopolitiques agressives vont devenir la règle, ici comme ailleurs.
