Zelda’s fancy hat pattern by Crabapple Hill. Sad to see they’ve closed down.
Happy Chihuahua Appreciation Day. These tiny dogs became popular in the 19th during a boom in the popularity of lapdogs. These teeny (often loud mouthed) dogs were likely a type of mixed breed. They’re named Chihuahua after the state in Mexico where they were discovered and taken to the USA.

This was the first quilt I ever made and I’ve not managed to complete any others since! Still working on the Crabapple Hill Studios Halloween quilt some 11 years later.

20.03.2025 19:25 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’ve now taken to disguising Jane Austen’s fictional character quotes into ordinary work emails. I’m in week 2 and it’s quite addictive. TV adaptation quotes are also acceptable.

12.02.2025 16:58 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The 2015 adaption was gorgeous. I’m unsure why he’s fallen from favour. The rural vs urbanisation messages are only exasperated by climate change if anything. I also read criticism of his portrayal of Bathsheba as being unrealistic. Disagree!
