Happy Chihuahua Appreciation Day. These tiny dogs became popular in the 19th during a boom in the popularity of lapdogs. These teeny (often loud mouthed) dogs were likely a type of mixed breed. They’re named Chihuahua after the state in Mexico where they were discovered and taken to the USA.

I’ve now taken to disguising Jane Austen’s fictional character quotes into ordinary work emails. I’m in week 2 and it’s quite addictive. TV adaptation quotes are also acceptable.

Absolutely love and recommend Destination Wedding with Winona and Keanu. Surely the marketing pitching it as a romcom is to blame for the poor reviews. It would be perfect for stage rather than screen.

The 2015 adaption was gorgeous. I’m unsure why he’s fallen from favour. The rural vs urbanisation messages are only exasperated by climate change if anything. I also read criticism of his portrayal of Bathsheba as being unrealistic. Disagree!
