Is that areas with lots of people serving sentences (areas with prisons), or areas with lots of felons who have completed their sentences, generally living in poverty, have their representation increased due to the population by people who have no say in the vote.

Also if you think it's messed up you can *lose the right to vote* it totally is. Republicans have been the biggest people opposing either not doing that or letting people regain the right to vote.

One *interesting* detail of it, though, is that due to how power and resources are apportioned…

Major Crimes are felonies and tend to have big, fancy names like Grand Larceny. In places where there's a difference there are strict limits on the punishments for misdemeanors. And misdemeanors can't make you lose things like the right to vote the way felonies can.

In the United States you have Minor Crimes, called Misdemeanors, examples of which might be petty theft, shoplifting, graffiti, trespassing, etc. Misdemeanors and Felonies can both be state or federal. (Trespassing on a federal office building would be a federal misdemeanor, for example.)

Animals the same species as the fursonas of their close friends work well, too.

Getting shrunk down 'temporarily', but when it 'wears off' my normal height is a lot smaller than it was before.

Repeatedly, each time ending up tinier for longer, and growing back less.

(Even to the point of, say, normal size being toe-high or a fraction thereof, shrunk down to pad-high, etc.)

This reminds me of the time someone unbuttoned a corduroy shirt I was wearing and took it off so he could pet and scritch me better and described it as "I'm peeling off your rind."

That's, basically, my whole deal.
