re-framing it to "i'm feeling down about my work" instead of "my art sucks" has REALLY helped me!! gives you a chance to ask, well why are you feeling down? what can you do about it? constructive rather than defeatist! way better, hehe

I remember playing flute in band and BUTCHERING a few bars noticeably... at least for anyone who played flute. I remember getting compliments and being like, "I messed that up." And the response was, "I didn't even notice." I think that clued me into the idea that "My work is bad" is so relative.
