🧵 As an (Gen)AI experiment, I kicked off a new project in React (which I had zero experience with) using Vibe Coding. The first few days were incredibly productive, and within a week I had 90% of the project done. But for that last 10%, Claude Sonnet 4 just couldn’t help me anymore...

Despite the 2 hour delay due to bad weather at Heathrow, i did achieve a dad milestone. Visited with my son the cockpit! Core memory imprinted. Thank you @aegeanairlines crew and pilots of A3-600 . love for flying for ever

If u have a family and u want to buy a drone - heat me out. Just buy the DJI Neo! Υour kids will love it, you will love it, you have have it in your holidays without second thoughts. It has a super nice camera, gets super quality videos and u dont have to spend 1000s of euros

im doing what i promised myself not to do- distro hoppingn. Next stop to my journey CachyOs. I m abit disappointed NixOS was almost there, but i was not ready for its wholistic approach especially on dev tools. 🥹😭🥹

I am pretty happy with NixOS - but suddenly Python development is a nightmare and I do miss `sdk` man! Contemplating if this is a deal breaker for me!

#NixOS - it enables you to make the hard things - look easy and the easy things to be hard. I have switched my main machine to NixOS with most of the things ready and reproducible and I have lost hours trying to find the correct config to add a Second Input lang to GNOME/wayland. Its not nixos fault

One of the things that i miss now that i moved to nixos- is that i need to forget uv (python) and sdkman (java) - and adopt the nix way . Opinions? #nix #nixos

Day 4 geeking out with #NixOS! I have now officially nix-fied all my machines! Humble beginnings on maintaining my config on `git` - gitlab.com/javapapo-pub... . I am planning to break it down more, not sure I am ready for homemanager yet.

Overall - i enjoy vanilla Gnome.

Second day trialing #nixos . Looking good, no problems so far and i have managed to replicate my main env in terms of apps, deps etc.

πρωτη σοβαρη απόπειρα για setαρισμα laptop με NixOS + Gnome. Not bad....

It is my first year i dont have a decent personal mac!! Yes i still have some from work but they are seriously locked so cannot use them for anything. Anyway , my Gaming pc - is now dual boot (kind of) and im plannig to nuke my thinkpad and install NixOS! What could go wrong? 🤣

for more than a year my heavily underutilized but strong gaming PC was sitting doing nothing... once per week maybe a game? @frank-k-p.bsky.social suggested that it was time to promote it as my main Linux machine. i was using for my day to day a thinkpad laptop with PopOS. contd

despite the fact that MS Teams is not terrible lets be honest, its the little things that make it far worse productivity wise than Slack! Its kind of amazing but I miss Slack at work I really do - it is almost like 50% drop in productivity especially in remote teams.
