Privatized ICE detention facilities are funded by our tax dollars through gov contracts that pay fees per inmate. They are given quotas and financial incentives to pack the places with maximum prisoners and to cut corners on food and overall living conditions. We pay the cost; they reap the profits.

President Trump's Conflicts Of Interest : Fresh Air New York Times reporter Eric Lipton says the Trump family businesses, including their crypto company, are capitalizing on the President's position, and creating unprecedented conflicts of interest.

Had a great conversation with Terry Gross/Fresh Air to walk through the whole landscape of Trump family conflicts of interest that have emerged. Real estate. Golf clubs. Crypto, Foreign government deals. Even a $500,000-a-head private club in DC. @nprfreshair.bsky.social www.npr.org/2025/05/07/1...

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

It has been 18 days since we learned that those involved in Signalgate recklessly endangered the lives of American pilots.

The fact that there has been no Congressional investigation is an abomination.

This should outrage every single Member of Congress.

Nobody is saying this. They have to conjure up imaginary libs to argue with since they can’t win a debate with real ones on this issue.

In case you're wondering...

it's been 17 days since a reporter was added to a Signal group chat where our government officials were sharing war plans.

And nobody has been fired...

Don't stop talking about SignalGate

Reid Hoffman, the billionaire, major Democratic Party donor, and co-founder of LinkedIn, responds to Elon Musk.

Musk has relentlessly attacked Hoffman for many months.

In a normal world Waltz and Hagseth would be fired for leaking the info and setting up the chat. Gabbard and Ratcliffe would go for possibly misleading Congress yesterday.

We need a Navalny, not a Newsom.

No offense intended against mainstream politicians like Newsom.

It’s just that at this point we are way beyond the realm of normal bullshit politics.

Wow, the Elon Musk Oval Office rant is so much worse and dumber than I had heard.

For nearly ten minutes of it, Trump sat there uncomfortably as Musk stuttered out distortions and lies, against a backdrop of a juvenile understanding of our constitutional system.
