🚨 21 people, including a newborn, arrived last night on Farmakonisi. At 09:50 today all phones went offline near the military camp. Many who land here later “disappear,” later found adrift in life rafts. We hope this group was taken to safety, not pushed back.

Week 37 in the Aegean: 41 boats, 1,290 people. 9 pushbacks, 350 forced back — 109 abandoned in life rafts. Only 27% reached Greece.

🚨 Greek Coast Guard circled a sailboat with ~80 people near Tilos, denied finding it, then vanished with all onboard. Next morning, 74 were found in life rafts off Türkiye.
This is not rescue — it’s an illegal pushback.

🚨Rescue Operation Initiated🚨

We have just been alerted to a boat in distress south west of Bodrum, Turkey.

The boat was reported to be carrying 15 people, and had just left Bodrum. The boat was heading towards Kos.

Turkish Coast Guard was immediately alerted.

🚨 Sailboat with 80 people in distress near Tilos.

The boat is without power, taking in water. Videos show people crying for help — while the Greek Coast Guard circles but does not rescue.

We fear this is another pushback in the making. Lives at risk.

Early this morning, a boat with 46 people — incl. 19 children and several pregnant women — arrived near Lapsarna, Lesvos. After calling for help, we lost contact when police arrived. We hope they’re safe.

Palestinians Abandoned at Sea, Forced Back from Greece in Life Raft.

They thought they had found safety, Instead they were detained on Farmakonisi, stripped of their belongings, and abandoned in a life raft off Bodrum.

🚨Rescue Operation Ongoing🚨

A sailboat, reported to be carrying 55 people, in distress 11 nautical miles south west of the Greek island of Kithira.

Rescue services informed, the Panama registered tanker Gas Providence on scene but unable to assist.

Greek Coast Guard Performed Dangerous Towing In New Pushback, 96 People Onboard Before midnight on May 25th, Aegean Boat Report was contacted by passengers onboard a drifting vessel only 1.5 km from the southeastern shore of the Greek island of Nisyros. People onboard informed…

The Greek Coadt guard continues to risk the lives of people seeking protection, this new towing shows that they have learned nothing from their previous mistakes.

Onboard was 96 people, 38 of them small children.

It is not a question of if disaster strikes again, but when.

Updates 03.40 local time:
The Greek coast guard arrived with a Lambro 57 coastal patrol boat, attached a towline to the boat and towed it back to Turkish waters, where they left them drifting.

The pushback has been confirmed.

Boat in distress south east of Nisyros

Tonight we were contacted by desperate people on a drifting vessel outside Nisyros.

The boat was drifting due to a malfunction engine, and that there were over 100 people onboard, at least 30 of them small children.
