A beautiful deep orange rose

Probably the last rose this year on Rosa Easy Does It #RoseWednesday

The pictures show six different salvias flowering in my garden at the moment.

Spent the afternoon moving pots of succulents into the greenhouse as it’s going to be colder tonight. On my wander round the garden decided to focus on the salvias which are still flowering beautifully fir #SixOnSaturday

This is a hummingbird hawk moth with it’s wings spread out to show big orange flashes. It is feeding on a pink salvia.

This is a red tigridia flower. It is triangular in shape and has a darker red centre flecked with yellow

This flower is called Blood of Pan, a very dramatic name for a very deep red cup shaped flower.

Cosmos Pink Denim. Really like this one with mid pink petals flecked with white.

This is really unusual for a cosmos. It’s white with a pink centre but the petals are much more separated than normal, almost squared off.

This is a deep magenta pink clematis called Rouge Cardinal. It has very velvety flowers with white stamens in the middle.

This is a really beautiful rose called Emily Brontë. It is white/pale cream but before it fully opens, as in this picture, the centre is a tightly furled peachy pink.

It’s pretty isn’t it but most of the ones I grew from seed are quite a bit bigger and more of a lilac colour.

This is a tiger moth. It is triangular in shape, black background with diagonal jagged gold stripes

A lovely clematis called Bee’s Jubilee which is a lavender purple with a broad bright pink stripe down the centre of each petal

This is an unusual clematis called Broughton Bride. The flowers are white but they don’t open out flat but hang like a handkerchief.

2 clematis both growing on the same obelisk. The first is Bee’s Jubilee and the second is Broughton Bride

This rose is called Old Wollerton Hall and it’s a climber. It has taken a long time to flower well but is having a real moment with these big clusters of peachy cream flowers.

This is a clematis called Bee’s Jubilee. It has lavender petals with a broad deep Pink stripe down the middle

This was a tiny plant from Tesco when I put it in a pot last year. It is now taller than me and has a lot of flowers at the moment. #ClematisThursday

This is one of my favourite roses as the colour is such a vibrant deep orange. The contrast against the the green leaves is lovely. The petals are also quite frilly.

This is a tigridia. It is a very unusual shape a bit like an aeroplane propeller. It is a clear light red with a deeper red centre spotted with yellow

Having a wander around the garden with the secateurs dead heading and noticed how popular the fennel flowers are with a whole variety of insects. #InsectThursday

A trellis completely covered in clematis. There are 2 here. One is called Rosalyn and has pink star shaped flowers. The other is clematis rhederiana which has primrose yellow bells much loved by bees and it smells wonderful
