Growing up in Saudi, the only English language programming I remember until we got Satellite telly in the early 90s was Full House, America's Funniest Home Videos and Sesame Street. Probably the only things that would pass the censors π€£.

Took my cat for her yearly health check so she's now finding it necessary to groom every inch of herself to remove the smell of vet. She got her tea as soon as we got home so I think I've been quickly forgiven.

This is shaping up to be one of those weeks where absolutely everything is a complete bloody faff. I always feel bad if I don't use holiday days constructively but at the moment I honestly just feel like wrapping myself in a blanket tomorrow and playing Tomb Raider all day.

Your daughter made me smile on a dank, dreary Wednesday. There's been quite a bit in the news about there being a reading crisis in the UK among children and adults so it's fantastic listening to book lovers, even when they're on the other side of the Ocean

Personally, I'm definitely more a fan of the more wacky Williams stuff, like the Catch Me If You Can title sequence and the Knight Bus music in Prisoner of Azkaban. I love the throne room track in A New Hope as well, because of the extra stuff the brass is doing under the main theme.

This has turned into a thread (apologies). I play in an amateur orcehstra, and whever we do a film concert there's always some John Williams in there and it always makes us nervous because it is difficult. Hedwig's theme in particular just about broke us all in the string section.
