Gov. Stein Declares January Human Trafficking Prevention Month Eleven state government buildings in downtown Raleigh will be illuminated with blue lights from January 7 through 11 to raise awareness for survivors and victims of human trafficking.

Today Governor Josh Stein proclaimed January #HumanTraffickingPreventionMonth and January 11 #HumanTraffickingAwarenessDay to draw attention to this borderless crime impacting more than 20 million people each year.

U.S. and NC Flags to Half-Staff in Honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day Sunday will mark 84 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, where more than 2,000 service members and civilians died on December 7, 1941.

Governor Josh Stein today ordered all U.S. and NC flags at state facilities lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, in observance of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
