Not really. It is the same first past the post system that has favored two main parties for most of the time. The only difference with being a parliamentary system is that the leader of the party is not elected separately as there is no separate executive branch

Generally but not always true - look at the rise of the Reform party in the UK that has eclipsed the Tories in many places.

If we all blindly vote in lockstep then how are we to push back against positions that we disagree with? I would never advocate voting Republican and I understand the need for tactical voting. But it is tiring to be told over and over that the leftists lost the election for the Ds
